Chapter 129
At least I managed to finish my beer this time before the next one arrived.
That one wasn’t a potential anyway. The moment I said he could, he ran off to fetch his master. So, another dog for half an hour or so and released.
The next? It was a shame. He seemed ideal. What’s more, he craved enslavement, so, when I released him, I pointed him at Luke and told him what kind of a life he could expect as the property of my master. He’d thanked me profusely and immediately started talking to Luke.
The one after that though… Totally different. He looked to be in his early thirties, but he really hadn’t taken care of himself. He had a gut, he hadn’t shaved for at least a week and he had a look of desperation in his eyes.
He walked around me, muttering something under his breath, staring. I’m sure I saw tears too.
“Er… Can I help you, sir.”
“Please, I’ve… Please let it be… I…”
Hmm… English? “Sir?”
“Can I touch your hand?”
“Of course.”
I held it out and the moment he grabbed it, stroked it, he began to weep openly and grabbed me in a hug.
“I’ve found you! Oh fucking hell, I can’t believe I’ve”
“I’m sorry, sir. But I don’t believe I’ve ever met you before.”
He released me from his grip, his expression now replaced by one of pure joy. He was actually weeping with joy. “I was talking to the suit.” He collapsed to his knees and stared up at me. “Please. I couldn’t bear to lose it again after all this time. I need it. I know what being in a suit like that means. Please, suit me up and seal me in.”
“You know? Where did you encounter it before?”
“London.”
“Could I have your name? Maybe my master remembers you.”
“Oh, oh of course.” He dug into his inside pocket and handed me his passport.
I hit mute again. “Sir? I know you said let the next three go, but this one…”
“What about him.”
“He seems familiar with the suit, sir, and what’s more, he’s begging to be sealed in.”
“Familiar, how?”
“He’s English, sir. Said he first encountered it in London. He said he couldn’t bear to lose it again, sir.”
“What’s his name?”
“He handed me his passport. It’s…” I leafed through. “James Stafford, sir.”
“Well… well, well, well…”
“Sir?”
“Before you take him, he’s married with children. I know situations change, so ask him about that. In normal circumstances I would’ve said take him anyway, but I have a promise to keep. If things have changed in an… unpleasant way for him… I think it’s a safe one to break.”
I nodded and looked down at him. “My master remembers you. Why are you here? You have a wife and kids.”
His face twisted into a scowl. “Had a wife. We’re divorced. The evil hag took everything. Even…” he sighed. “Please?”
“They’re divorced, sir.”
“Take him. And make everything permanent from the start. There’s no point in messing around with sealant remover in his case.”
“Yes, sir.” Unmute. “Follow me through to the back, sir. My master has granted me permission.”
Damn, it’s a shame Titan wasn’t in one of the zipped dogs. This one might prove awkward to fit into one. Oh well, only one way to find out.
The suiting went as usual, if anything, quicker than usual. He knew exactly what he was doing. I summoned Rocky. He was the most athletic of the bunch, a sports star in the making before his suiting. I figured if any suit was going to fit this one, it’d be his.
As the new blank studied itself in the mirror, I couldn’t help but comment.
“There’s one thing I know you’ve never tried. It might be a struggle, but how would you like to try being a dog too?”
It shrugged just as I heard a scratching on the door. I opened it and Rocky pranced in.
“The offer’s open to all the patrons tonight. Try being a dog. You’ve seen some of the races.”
It paused and shook its head.
“It’s the main event tonight. You’ve not seen anything on the big screen?”
It shook its head and pointed at me.
“You’ve been watching me the whole time?”
It nodded.
“You’ve been seriously missing out. It’s the best time any of us have. Amazing experience.”
It looked down at the dog, shrugged and nodded.
“Help me get him out then…”
Within minutes it was time to try to get it in, but no matter how much it pulled its stomach in and exhaled when we pulled on the zipper, it was impossible. It was just too big.
“Sir, we’ve got a problem.”
“What’s happened?”
“It won’t fit in the dog, sir. I think if it was a naked dog it might be possible but the pelt isn’t flexible enough to take it. I have an idea, sir.”
“Go on.”
“Let it out into main club as it is. The suit will cure. We might end up with four, we’ve still got two dogs to fill. At the end of the night, Alpha and the dogs can go in the van. There’ll be eight of us in suits. If we all left together at a different time to the dogs and went in a different direction…”
“Yes, yes, that does add a little variety to the mix. Eight is too large a number for a… I’ll arrange a minibus to pick you up when the club closes at four. The dogs will leave at the arranged time via van at four thirty and enter through the rear. I suppose it’ll give you a little extra time to get some sleep before the other policemen arrive at nine. Alpha can deal with the dogs, put them into the wet room cubicles and start their cleaning cycles.”
“Yes, sir. Could you remind him the officer is only having a moderate clean, not a full strength, sir. He’s the Golden Labrador, sir.”
“I will. Don’t worry.”
I looked down at the blank. “It was worth a try. Come through to the bar. We’ll get you a drink.”
It nodded and wormed its way out of the dog.
“Go with him Rocky. You might as well get a drink yourself.”
“Thank you, sir.”
“You’re getting better at it.”
It nodded. “I know, sir. For the shotrer words at least. I still screw up with the lengor ones thoguh.”
“Yes, but it is a vast improvement. Fucking good going. Now follow our newest to the bar.”
It nodded and was gone. A little clean and tidy again and I was too.
I looked at the clock and sighed. It was nearly twelve thirty. We still had a two to capture and three temps to suit up and I suspected I wouldn’t get a moments peace for the rest of the night and my god was I right?
The next two were owned so no captures there and the moment the last race video had played, we were inundated. Even with the help of Alpha, Moonbeam and Rocky we were hard pressed to deal with everyone. We ended up doing them three at a time and of course, at that pace, none of them were keepers. We didn’t even bother with the sealant just to speed things along even more.
At two, the three temps arrived, but they were no trouble and didn’t need to be released. Laddie, Fang and Muttley however, finally were.
The constant stream of people wanting to try it didn’t slow until nearly three, by which time, the club was beginning to empty. I’d even missed the dog display.
I slumped onto the stool, as M would put it, knackered. “God, it’s been busy. What did you do with the dogs?”
Luke chuckled and held up a ball.
“Easter egg hunt?”
He nodded. “We gave a whole bunch of balls out to the patrons. Asked them to hide them. If a dog failed to find them, they won a prize.”
“Any winners?”
“None. But it was fun to watch.”
“We were too rushed. We didn’t get the final two.”
“The night’s not over yet, Arty. Look.”
I glanced to where he pointed to find a couple at the end of the bar wearing nothing but matching rubber mini-shorts, wrist wallets and boots. Each had his hand on the other’s butt. They looked at me. Looked at each other, then looked at me again. One of them gulped.
“Maybe we can get a twofer. Fingers crossed, eh?” I wandered over.
“Want to give it a try?”
“We thought we might be too late.”
“No, sirs. There’s still time. Are you master and slave?”
“Nah. We’re not into all that dom/sub master/slave crap. We just love rubber.”
“No bondage at all?”
“We tie each other up once in a while. Little bit of fun.”
I nodded. “If you love rubber, you’ll really love this.”
“But the dogs aren’t rubber? They look… Well…”
“Feel my hand, sir.”
I held it out and he did. He stared at me in amazement.
“Now imagine that covering every inch of your skin. I bet when you experience it you’ll never want out. The inner suit is made of this. The dogs are furred but that’s just an outer layer, for warmth.”
When these two put the suits on, they didn’t just go wild caressing themselves. They went wild caressing each other. Kissing. Hugging. Stroking. Fondling...
“So what do you think?”
“Oh Jesus H Christ! What the hell have we been missing? You’re right! I never want out!”
“Me neither. I’ve never felt anything like this before.”
Bonus points if you can steer the conversation towards them saying they never want out. Kerching.
Alpha and Moonbeam arrived with Comet soon after. I’d just finished tubing up one of them and was about to do the second.
With their help, they were both in their dogs in ten minutes and I led them to the rear exit for their walkies.
I’d not got far before Alpha spoke. “Problems, Arty.”
“What kind of problems, sir?”
“There’s only money and a chit for the bag check in their wallets.”
“And if you book out the bag… I get it. Ask Luke. Maybe he can swap places with the bag check guy, sir.”
“Good one. Luke, can you...”
“What?”
“I need to access their belongings. No ID in their wallets. Can you swap places with the guy in bag check?”
“Not a bad idea. You’ll have to be quick though. It’s nearly time for the rush to leave. I’ll bring my phone. I think he’ll agree. He prefers to work the bar.”
There was a pause. I’d got out and to the first corner of the lot with the two dogs stumbling by my side before his voice returned.
“Got it. Thanks, Arty. Dunno what we’d do without you. Luke’s just sent the photos. Should get word from Q in a few minutes.”
They’d found their paws a little by the time Q reported. They’d even started playing a combination of fetch and play fighting for the ball and it was obvious they were enjoying themselves.
“This is a first, Artemis. I approve. Take them. I will be kind and keep them together.”
“A first, sir?”
“We’ve had masters and slaves. This is our first married couple.”
“Cage sharing, sir?”
“I think it’s only fair. They committed themselves to each other. It’ll be a lot easier if they commit themselves to me together rather than apart.”
I looked down at the dogs and reselected them. “Let’s get into the club. You can have a play with the dogs for the rest of the night.”
Both of them nodded eagerly as I led them to the club’s UV lighting system that would forever seal their fate.
* * *
The night was over. I collapsed onto the stool as the man behind the bar cleaned a few glasses.
“How much did you see from back there?”
He sighed. “Not enough. I did poke my head around the door a few times during the peak, when no-one was arriving or leaving but even then, I had to deal with the odd one. Surprised me, a few of them leaving so early.”
“Maybe they found someone. Made arrangements to meet in a… remote location if you know what I mean.”
He chuckled. “Damn that looked good though.”
“Even better if you’re in it.”
“You have been?”
“Every single one of them, yes.” I pointed at myself. “Tyson. Could I have another beer, after the night I’ve had I think I need it. I didn’t see much of that either.”
“Why?”
“Must’ve put at least twenty into dogs and walked them around the parking lot tonight.”
“That many?”
“They were lined up around the block wanting to try after the videos ended. We had to be quick to let them all try. Once around the parking lot each. The ones who could drag themselves away from the screen got a much better deal.”
“I can imagine. Is it true?”
“Is what true?”
“Your master’s kept you in that thing, for a whole year?”
I nodded. “Not unwillingly believe me. I love this.”
“Even… You’re gagged permanently too?”
“Much more than gagged. Utterly silenced. It’s an amazing feeling. If you’ve got slave tendencies you should try it.”
“Don’t you ever get fed up of it? Never feeling… Well… Anything but that. Never being able to talk?” his eyes widened as I popped my mouth cap and tipped the beer down my throat. “Shit, you can’t even taste anything either can you? That goes right down?”
“Or smell. Yep, all the way down.” I unbuttoned my shirt, let him feel my chest. “Now, do you think you could get fed up feeling this?”
He reached across the bar, stroked me, even tweaked my nipples. “You’re right. If I was into the whole slave thing I’d probably want that forever too.”
“You’re not?”
“Pretty much vanilla with a mild kink for leather. Never realised just how extreme people could go until I got this job.”
“Never been tempted to experiment? You never know until you try. You might find you’re even kinkier than me if you let yourself experience some of it.”
“You trying to talk me into a dog now too?”
“Nah, too late for that now.” I nodded at the clock. “We’re leaving in a few minutes. Well, those of us on two legs are anyway. The dogs have a ride back in just over half an hour.”
“Why leave before them?”
“We were in the park this morning, practising for tonight when we were arrested. Keep an eye out for the next race. There’ll be five cops taking part. That’s why we’ve got one more dog than we came with. He’s a police dog. The rest of them arrive at nine this morning.”
“Fuck me! Really?”
“Talked his captain into it with the promise of fitter cops with a better attitude and if they do well in the race there’ll be a donation to the police benevolent fund.”
“That’s a good idea. Hope it sticks.”
“With the ones we train, it will. If it proves popular there might be a few in every race.” I crossed my fingers.
He nodded and pointed at the door. “Looks like your ride’s here.”
“I imagine we’ll speak again. Don’t know when though. See yah.”
I jogged to the door and the familiar face standing there. The driver from this afternoon.
“I see you’ve been busy.”
“You’ve got no idea. Everyone not in a dog apart from Alpha… We’re going home.” I deselected everyone but Alpha. “Don’t forget. Eyes and ears off while frozen, sir. Don’t let the cop have any clue where he is. We’ve got to go.”
Six of them did, the seventh looked around in confusion.
I walked up to it, tapping into my armband as I went, hit speak and put my arm around his shoulders.
“We’re offering you the chance to join us.”
It put its hands together, flapping them like a bird and held up two fingers, then tapped its butt.
I removed my arm so I could speak. “You’re due to fly back to England in two days and you can’t afford another ticket?”
It nodded.
“Screw the flight.”
It stiffened.
“You said you couldn’t bear to lose the suit again. We’re offering you a new life. I’ve been in this suit for over a year. I know one man who’s been in a similar one for over ten. You can too.”
It drew a question mark.
“I’m serious. Join us. Forget your old life. From what you said it sounds like it’d gone to shit anyway. James Stafford can vanish without trace, the last sighting at this club, tonight. I’m offering you something you’ll never regret. A whole new life. One you’ll love. And in that suit, my god will you love it.”
It shook its head and backed away.
“Think of it. If you return to London, how long would it be before you could afford another vacation here? By the time you did, this store might’ve closed and moved on just like the London one did. You might never find us again. I know for a fact you’d hate that, wouldn’t you?”
Its shoulders slumped and it nodded.
“OK… How about this little gem. Icing on the cake.”
Another question mark.
“The evil hag will never see another penny of child support or alimony.” I stroked its head just to emphasise what it thought it might be giving up. I really didn’t want to force it. Not yet.
It nodded, then paused. It pointed at its mouth.
“Don’t worry about that. We’ll teach you how to communicate without a voice. It’s pretty easy too, once you get the hang of it. It’s worth it for everything else, trust me. And if you think the suit’s good, just wait until you feel what else we have in store… You’ll never look back.”
It nodded again.
“To really sweeten the deal, we’ll get you back to peak fitness… You’ll get to run in one of the races when you are and my god that’s good.”
It glanced at the dogs, at the screen, at me. Then pointed at itself.
“I know you’re out of shape, but you see him?” I pointed at Titan.
It nodded.
“What would you say if I told you, that six months ago, he was morbidly obese? And in the last race, he not only completed the full fifty mile course, but a couple of days later, he ran a marathon?”
It shook its head.
“I’m not kidding. You’ll understand when you see it. We’ve got a gym your gonna love.”
It relaxed and finally allowed me to guide it to the exit and into the awaiting minibus.
It was clear, what it thought it knew about the suit was only a very small part of the reality.
